SNDP Yogam to move SC against 10 percent quota

Thiruvananthapuram: SNDP Yogam will approach Supreme Court against granting of 10 percent quota to the economically weaker sections in the forward castes.

The government had acted arbitrarily in introducing the Bill in the Parliament, said the outfit’s general secretary Vellappally Natesan.

Natesan also said that any quota outside the Constitutional provisions would not be acceptable.

Except IUML, no party opposed the Bill when it was considered in the parliament, he said.
