Kottayam: A warning letter by the Missionaries of Jesus to Sr Neena Rose who stood four square behind the rape survivor asked her to personally meet the superior general of the congregation Sr Regina on January 26.
The letter Sr Neena Rose received on January 21 said “It is highly regretted that despite my reminder dated June 20,2018, you are carrying on with the rebellious posture refusing to be party of the community and its daily religious life. Despite repeated reminders from your superiors, instructing you to mend your present way of life, which is not in accordance with our religious vows and congregational discipline, you have refused to fall in line, thereby raising a serious question mark on your own commitment to the vow of obedience and disciplined life”
The letter by Sr Regina also warned that failing to report at Jalandhar would be construed as challenging the Mother General’s canonically bestowed authority.
One of the five nuns who supported the rape survivor, Sr Neena Rose made clear she would continue to be in the convent.
