Kochi: The State government on Monday told Kerala High Court that the custodial death of Rajkumar, who was taken into custody by Nedumkandom police in connection with financial fraud, was a brutal incident.
The government was responding to a petition filed, seeking CBI probe, by the victim’s wife M Vijaya and mother Kasthuri. The government said that it would bring before the law the culprits.
A special investigation team has been formed and it has already arrested four officials and some suspects are under stake-out, who would be arrested after the evidence collection is over.
The government also said that the probe into the case is on the right track and persons involved in the case would be shown no leniency.
