Second autopsy reveals more injuries on Kumar’s body

Thodupuzha: The second autopsy on the body of Rajkumar revealed several previously unnoticed injuries, showcasing the terrible torture he must have undergone at the Nedumkandam police station in Idukki district.  

Exhumed on Monday, following the orders of of Justice K Narayana Kurup Commission which is probing the death of Raj Kumar, another round of post mortem was done on the body.  

The second postmortem, held at the General Hospital at Kanjirappally, revealed bruises on his chest, stomach, and thighs.

Kumar may have been through third-degree methods that could even damage internal organs like kidney, reports say.

Kumar died on June 21 at Peermade sub-jail after he was taken into custody in connection with a financial fraud case.
