Win back devotees, CPM Centre leadership urges Kerala wing

New Delhi: While assessing the damage in LS polls, CPI(M) central committee asked its Kerala chapter to win back the eroded vote bank of devotees in the state.

The committee directed Kerala leadership to formulate a programme and report of its efficacy in three months.

In a major drubbing yet, CPM lost 19 out of 20 seats to Opposition UDF over what many say Sabarimala issue.

The debilitating situation in Kerala made the Central leadership to urge the state leadership to act.

Still reeling from historic low performance, CPM Bengal leadership reported the Central Committee of paucity of funds during the campaigning, as reflected in polls.
