Kochi: Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) will not have 10 percent seats reserved in MBBS admission this academic year, reports say.

Earlier Medical Council of India (MCI) asked in a letter to the state government to increase seats for these sections.

As per MCI guidelines, in order to meet 10 percent reservation, the uptick should be 25 percent of current admission.
