Thiruvananthapuram: Police commissioners of Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram will soon have magisterial powers, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the Assembly.

The decision will make them enjoy the powers alongside district collectors.

Chief Minister rebuffed this saying that there was no need for apprehensions since 50 cities in the country successfully implemented it.
