The accused were arrested after scientific investigations, Chief Minister said in a reply given to a notice issued by the opposition.

Naseer's statement was recorded three times after the attack. The statement was read out to the victim each time.  The investigation officer was not changed.   The case should not be used for political exploitation.  Chief Minister denied the allegation that A.N. Shamseer MLA has a role in the attack. In Nadapuram and Vatakara,  no political murders were reported in recent times.  He also asked the opposition not to make the assembly a venue to say anything they wish to.

When the speaker denied permission for an emergency motion after the Chief Minister's reply, the opposition staged a walk-out. The opposition alleged that the government was protecting the culprits and was undermining the probe.  Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala alleged that though Naseer gave a statement against Shamseer, a probe was not conducted properly in the regard.

The subject was introduced by Parakkal Abdullah.  The member's speech led to allegations and counter allegations in the assembly.   He  pointed out the case of the murder of TP Chandrasekharan and others, which provoked the ruling side.

The Chief Minister retorted strongly and referring to the murder of Binu and Shibu of Nadapuram. He said that Muslim League should not behave as angels and alleged that Parakkal Abdullah borrowed words of Narendra Modi to attack the government.  This statement caused a furor in the assembly for a while.

The Chief Minister informed the assembly that it was a truth that C.O.T. Naseer was attacked and fair action will be taken against the culprits. Investigation will be fool-proof.  CPM leaders had rushed to the hospital where Naseer was admitted.  This shows that they have no enmity towards him.  The allegations were politically motivated, the Chief Minister said.
