Thiruvananthapuram: The first day of CPM state council made itself scarce from discussing allegations of rape against the party secretary’s son.

The discussions on the party’s humiliating drubbing in LS polls consumed most part of the day.

However, some members made opinions in the issue of rape charges against Binoy Kodiyeri.  They were in full praise of the party secretariat’s stand in the issue.

Isolated censures from members rose in relation to the Anthoor issue as well.

The few talked on Binoy controversy pivoted their speeches mostly on Kodeyeri’s statements and the stand of the secretariat. The issue was not on the agenda of the discussion either.

One member from Malabar region of the party said that media that had been silent during the sex scandals against UDF leaders are so vociferous today.
