Mumbai: Binoy Kodiyeri, son of CPM's Kerala Secretary,  Kodiyeri Balakrishnan,  is being cornered as more evidence came out against him in the sexual assault complaint by a Bihar native woman. Lately, it came to light that the woman's passport had Benoy Vinodini Balakrishnan as her husband's name. The information is contained in the complaint filed by the woman at Oshiwara police in Mumbai.

Binoy had sent Rs 7.5 lakh in April and May of 2013 into the ICICI bank account of the woman. On 6 April Binoy sent Rs. 50,000 and in the same year he sent another Rs 4 lakh, the document reveals.

Binoy Vinodini Balakrishnan's name figures as spouse's name in the woman's passport, renewed in 2014.  The names given in the passport issued in 2004, are of her parents.

Last Friday, when the case was considered by Dindoshi Court in Mumbai, Binoy's lawyers had alleged that the complaint is fake and  described it as a move to fetch money through blackmail.  It was in this backdrop that the woman handed over more evidence to the police.  The woman's parents had earlier said that they were taking legal recourse after all their efforts for an amicable settlement failed.

Binoy's mother Vinodini had met parents of the woman at Mumbai, after the first complaint was filed in December 2018.

The complainants met the police after Binoy did not agree to the demands of the family. The woman also has submitted voice records of phone calls in which Binoy threatened her.

Meanwhile, an anticipatory bail plea of Binoy will be considered by Dindoshi sessions court on Monday. The police have intensified the probe to nab Binoy who has been absconding since police registered the case.
