Kalpetta: Indian National Congress President, Rahul Gandhi will seek mandate from Wayanad constituency, AICC general secretary Oomen Chandy has said.
T. Siddique who was to fight from the constituency has expressed his willingness to back out to make way for Rahul.
KPCC had requested Rahul to contest from Wayanad, considered a safe seat for Congress, after the leader expressed his wish to contest from a seat in South India.
If Rahul fights from the constituency, KPCC hopes that it will have a positive reflection across the region.
