Gold and silver offerings intact at Sabarimala Temple: TDB president

Thiruvananthapuram: A team of auditors found no anomalies in the stocking of gold and silver offerings at Sabarimala.

The local fund audit wing inspected the mahassar records of the strongroom of Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) at Aranmula.

“ The audit wing has made it clear that no material is missing from the strongroom” TDB president A Padmakumar was quoted as saying.

TDB president acknowledged the receipt of the report which he said would be submitted before the high court and hand over a copy of it to the government.

He also said that action would be taken against erring officials who committed ‘criminal negligence’ in maintaining the stock register of the strongroom.
