Thiruvananthapuram: Responding to the call for plying additional buses during holiday season, State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is hiring premium buses.
Part of this, KSRTC has invited a tender for premium class multi axle AC buses.
The move comes in the wake of attack on passengers by staff members of Kallada travels.
The incident forced authorities to put more pressure on private operators as well as plying additional KSRTC buses during holiday season.
As many as 50 semi-sleeper buses would be plied and bus provider would have to arrange driver while KSRTC would find conductor and fuel, reports say.
