Kochi: The mother of two children, who were found dead, reportedly after being sexually abused, filed an appeal in HC against the acquittal of the accused in the trail court.
The court will consider the appeal on Wednesday, filed against the Palakkad POCSO court for acquitting Nagamkulangara native Pradeep Kumar and Palakkad Puthissery native Madhu.
Of the sisters, the 13-year-old was found hanging on January 13, 2017 and on March 4, 2017 the 9-year-old was also found hanging. As per the case, they committed suicide after having been sexually abused.
Both the accused went scot free as the prosecution failed to prove the case against them.
The mother of the sisters now appeal the court to cancel the order for a re-trial into the case.
