Kozhikode: The police on Monday made a claim that they identified the third man who had made off while Alan and Thaha were arrested in UAPA case.

The man on police stakeout is Pandikad native Usman who allegedly had been with Alan and Thaha at the time of their arrest

Usman, an accused in as many as 10 cases, who is wanted by Kerala and Tamil Nadu police, had been out on bail, police say.

Cases against him were registered in connection with Maoist activities in Kannur, Malappuram, Wayanad and Thrissure districts.

Police say that they recovered Maoist posters from his bag which he had abandoned as he had made off.
