Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) is going ahead with strict measures to curb malpractices and fraud in the exams.

PSC has notified that all candidates should link their Aadhaar number with their PSC profiles and those who do not have Aadhaar must include other identification documents. The measure is a precursor to a procedure which ensures personal data through bio-metric system at different levels of selection of the candidates.

A meeting of PSC convened here on Monday also decided to take punitive measures against those who appear or abstain from exams after filing wrong information of educational qualification, experience and others.

At present, there are thousands who file wrong information, regarding their educational qualification and experience, and appear for exams.  PSC could not identify fraudsters as thousands of applications are submitted for each post.  PSC suffer loss of lakhs of rupees as it prepares exam centres and print question papers for these applicants. It is in this scenario that the commission decided to take strict actions against those who abstain from examination after filing wrong information.

Invigilators will scrutinise the signature given by the candidates in the signed list to curb impersonation in the exams.   For this, a copy of the signature given by the candidates will be provided in the exam centers.
