Kottayam: Just as the counting of votes continues in Pala, LDF candidate Mani C. Kappan is leading by over 4000 votes over Jose Tom Pulikkunnel, the UDF candidate.

The result in the fifth round of counting of votes shows Mani C Kappan keeping a winning trajectory, leaving the UDF camps in dejection.

As the results flying in the face of turf fight in Kerala Congress, LDF camp picks up confidence.

In the third round of counting, LDF extended its lead to three panchayats, with Kappan gaining a lead of 2,100 votes.

Perhaps, the outcome of this closely fought election might reflect voters’ attitude in the upcoming elections as well.
