Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Wednesday that cases would be registered against violators of lockdown under Epidemic Act.
As many as 22,338 cases have been registered against lockdown violations since it was clamped.
Also 2155 persons have been arrested and 12783 vehicles have also been impounded.
Checking would be made more intense, said the Chief Minister the other day.
The government toughened the strictures as number of people venturing out increased over the past few days.
Reports say that cases would be filed against people coming out for silly reasons with affidavit .
The Chief Minister said that the government would continue strict implementation of the lockdown.
