Kasaragod: Areas in the district that keep reporting more COVID-19 cases are declared COVID-19 containment zones.
Places including Chengala, Mogralputhur, Chemmanad, Madhur, Udhuma, and Pallikara report more COVID-19 cases and are potentially prone to social spread.
More strictures are to be in place in these places as part of COVID-19 containment protocol.
People wouldn’t be allowed outdoors in any event; in case of people breaching strictures, cases would be filed against them as well as placing them in government quarantine centres.
Drones are being put to observe people going out of their houses.
Police would bring medicines and food to people in need of them.
