Thiruvananthapuram: Triggering a controversy, police training academy at Ramavarmapuram in Thrissur has reportedly taken off beef from the menu.

Training for 4,300 personnel began on Sunday at camps in Palakkad, Kannur and Malappuram.

The food menu carrying eggs, chicken and fish dishes, soon went controversial from the absence of beef dishes.

Responding to the reports, ADGP (Training) B Sandhya maintains that beef has not been banned in any police camp.

ADGP also reportedly said that she will look into the matter.
