Kalikavu:  The row over the visit of CPM state committee member P Jayarajan to the Wafi PG campus in Adakkakundu and taking part in a reception there,  seems to be showing  no signs of calming.

Following Jayarajan's visit to the institution ten days ago,  state Muslim League President, Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal,  who is also the Rector of the Wafi institutions is learnt to have recommended disciplinary action against Prinipal Dr Lukman Wafi Faisi Azhar and Director Ibrahim Faisi.   But the said decision has not been officially disclosed.

The Facebook post by P Jayarajan said that the principal and director were dismissed,  whereas Principal Lukman Wafi made it clear that he was voluntarily keeping away.  Jayarajan had visited the Hima Care Home and Wafi Campus located in Adakkakundu on 10 February with a friend from Kannur.   The rank and file of Samastha faction of Sunnis of Kerala,  who run the Wafi institutions,  had come out in disapproval of the CPM leader's visit.

Following the controversay,  Lukman Wafi had informed that he was stepping aside in the background of the row.  Sources connected with the institution say that there was no information about action against the institution's officials.
