Bullets recovered from Kollam are Pak-made, say police

Thiruvananthapuram: Police have confirmed the bullets bearing inscription POF recovered from Kulathupuzha in Kollam were made in Pakistan.  

They would be sent to the lab in Hyderabad for more forensic evidence. Taking into account the grave nature of the incident, both the state and the central agencies started probe.

Various agencies including NIA, Military intelligence wing, and anti-terrorism squad arrived in Kulathupuzha for gathering evidence.

Police collected information from youths Joshi and Ajeesh who had first informed the police of the bullets.

12 bullets has inscription POF which stands for Pakistan Ordinance Factories and also carry date of manufacturing as 1981-82.

The bullets were found in an abandoned newspaper package, sealed with grease and wax.
