Kozhikode: DGP Lokanath Behera said that he was not aware of the FIR filed against journalists in connection with complaint filed by former DGP TP Senkumar against journalists.

When asked, he said that he would look into the matter and would intervene if needed.

Filing an FIR doesn’t mean taking the case to the court, he said. FIR would be registered before the probing started in a case, and even FIR itself would be rejected following the probe

The Cantonment police have filed case against Kalapremi reporter Kadavil Rasheed and Asianet News senior coordinating editor P G Suresh Kumar on the basis of a complaint filed by former DGP T P Senkumar.

PG Suresh Kumar wasn’t present at the press meeting where the ruckus occurred.

They were both accused of criminal conspiracy, Rasheed was, however, additionally implicated with a charge of trying to manhandle Senkumar.

The events related to the case occurred on January 16, when Senkumar was holding a press meet with BDJS leader Subash Vasu at Thiruvananthapuram press club.
