Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Assembly on Tuesday came together in voice condemning BJP leader Anand Kumar Hegde’s disgraceful speech on Mahatma Gandhi.

Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala introduced the matter during zero hour, supported by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

Chief Minister dubbed the BJP leader’s comments on Gandhi as an insult on million who had taken part in the freedom struggle and also said those who call freedom struggle a drama had no participation in it.

Ramesh Chennithala in his statement said that those who tried to undermine freedom struggle are insulting freedom struggle and Gandhiji.
