Main accused in SI murder case held

Thiruvananthapuram: The police have arrested the main accused in the murder of SI Wilson at Kaliyakkavila check post on Kerala-Tamil Nadu border days ago.

The Tamil Nadu Q branch nabbed Abdul Shameem and Thoufeek from the premises of Indrali railway station in Uduppi Karnataka.

They were arrested based on the tip off from Ijaz Pasha who had been arrested from Bangalore the other day.

Ijaz Pasha who had reportedly provided the accused with the gun used in the murder.

 The accused allegedly had terrorist links and reportedly involved in the murder of Hindu activist Suresh Kumar in 2014,

The police officer was murdered as a retaliation for arresting Muhamad Hanif Khan(29), and Muhamad Said( 24) a week ago in connection with the murder of Suresh kumar, police infer.

Wilson who was on duty was shot dead Wednesday night.
