Kochi: Outline a scheme for the safe disposal of one-time plastic manufactured before enforcing ban on plastic, the High Court directed the state government on Wednesday.
The court responded so while considering a batch of petitions filed by manufacturers of plastic carry bags.
The petitioners argued that the government had not given enough time to dispose the manufactured stock.
There were about 52 carry bag making units established on an investment of 11,40,87,550, according to a government technical committee.
