Thiruvananthapuram:  Trade union leaders made a joint statement here on Sunday that the nationwide “Bharat Bhandh’ on January 8 would be complete in the state.

The strike would start from midnight January 7 and continue until 12 pm the following day.

Vehicle would keep off roads, alongside shops and business be shuttered in the state.

Both the rural and urban areas of the state will come to a standstill.

The strike has been called by national trade unions, central and state employees, and organizations for banks, insurance and BSNL employees.
