Faisal Fareed denies having links to gold smuggling

Dubai: The stories that are doing rounds linking him to smuggling of gold are false, said UAE based expat businessman Faisal Fareed.
Kodungallur Munnupeedika native said he did not know culprits in the case Swapna Suresh and Sandeep Nair.
He denied ever dealing in gold. He has been in UAE since young age. His family has been into oil business, and alongside making gymnasium products and running gymnasium as well as vehicle garage.
All businesses are legal.
As a businessman he has connections with several people including famous ones, Fareed said. However, he denies having any business relation with film stars.
Fareed said he did not know anybody involved in the gold smuggling case.
When the reports came out regarding NIA probe against Faisal Fareed, friends created and disseminated trolls on WhatsApp ,which he took as fun.
But media taking the image from the trolls presented him as smuggler. TV Channels spread news shooting in front of his house in Kerala.
In order to make it sensational, they bedraggled his deaceased father into the scandal, Fareed said. He said he would make this clear to investigative agency.
