Kerala records 118 fresh Covid cases

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala recorded 118 new Covid 19 positive cases on Friday, taking the state’s tally to 1380. 96 people declared recovered from the disease.

Of the new cases, 67 came from abroad, 45 from within the country and six were infected through contact.

At present 1,32,569 people are under observation across the districts. Of these, 1,30, 655 people are under home quarantine while 1914 are in the hospitals.

4889 samples were examined during last 24 hours, taking the total number of tests done to 1, 30, 358.

The total number of hot spots climbed to 112 as seven places were added to the list on Friday, while 3 were excluded.
