Thiruvananthapuram: In the wake of the CAG report on the missing bullets in police armoury, Crime Branch officials led by the wing’s chief Tomin J Thachankary are all se to count bullets today.
As many as two lakhs bullets used in four different kinds of guns are to be counted. Prior to it, officials collected store list of bullets from chief store.
Bullets may have started losing between 1996 and 2018 in phases for twenty years; as per CAG report as many as 12061 bullets have been lost, which however police sources denied.
Crime Branch other day had arrested SI Reji Balachandran for producing fake bullets in place of original ones. The probe team, however, is examining the involvement of top officials in the incident.
