Kochi: The State Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau (VACB) has submitted in the Vigilance court that the former PWD Minister VK Ebrahim Kunju has to be quizzed again in connection with the irregularities involved in the Palarivattom Bridge scam case.
The investigation agency submitted that more clarifications are to be obtained though the MLA was quizzed twice. The Vigilance gave the clarification while the court considered a plea which alleged that the fund swindled through corruption was laundered through the account of Chandrika Newspaper.
Girish Babu, hailing from Kalamassery, had petitioned the court that a sum of Rs. 10 crore, swindled by Ebrahim Kunju and former PWD secretary T.O. Sooraj, was laundered through the account of the newspaper.
