Kochi: Actor Shane Nigam expressed willingness to pay compensation to two producers, in a move to help blow over the controversy surrounding him.
At the executive committee meeting of AMMA held here, Shane agreed to pay to producers of movies, “Veyil” and “Qurbani”.
However, The Kerala Film Producers Association demanded 1 crore from Shane as compensation.
Since the controversy started, the shooting of the two movies have been stalled.
At the meeting, Shane reportedly said that he wouldn’t be able to pay one crore as compensation.
He is learnt to have agreed to shell out 32 lakh.
Later, AMMA general secretary Idavela Babu said that a meeting would be held with office-bearers of producers association in two days.
He also hoped that producers would listen to Shane’s side.
In November last year Shane posted a video on social media alleging that producer of the movie “Veyil” threatened him.
