Uthra murder case: Post mortem of the cobra underway

Kollam: A team of veterinary surgeons performed postmortem on the cobra that Sooraj allegedly used in murdering his wife Uthra.

The post mortem was held at the premises of Uthra’s house  in Anchal here.

This is the first time in the history of the state the post mortem of a snake is done in order to establish evidence in a murder case.

Sooraj allegedly brought the snake in a plastic container and tossed the snake over his sleeping wife.

Police would examine the DNA of the snake in order to establish that if it was the same snake that had bitten Uthra to death, reports say.
