Aluva, Kerala: In a heart-wrenching incident, the lifeless body of six-year-old Chandni Tiwari was discovered near the Aluva market, brutally beaten and discarded in a sack. The young girl, hailing from Bihar, had been kidnapped from Taikkatukara Mukkat Plaza in Aluva Churnikara Panchayat, and her life was tragically cut short after 20 hours of anxious prayers and searching.

Asfaq Alam, a resident of Assam, has been identified as the perpetrator behind the tragic killing of six-year-old Chandni Kumari, who was abducted from Taikkatukara, Aluva, according to authorities.

The initial claim made by Asfaq that he had handed the child over to someone else has been refuted by the police, deeming it false. Eyewitnesses reported seeing Asfaq walking with the child near the Aluva market, accompanied by two other individuals.

Initially, Asfaq Alam had testified that he had entrusted the child to a friend, who then passed her on to Zakir Hussain. However, the police have dismissed these statements as deceptive. As a result, Asfaq's friend, who was allegedly involved, has also been detained by law enforcement for further questioning.

The abduction took place around 3:30 pm yesterday when Chandni, a first-grade student at Thaikkattukara UP School, was playing with other children in the vicinity. Her parents were not at home at the time of her disappearance and only realized that she was missing at 5:30 pm.

CCTV footage obtained from the area captured the moments when Alam was seen leading Chandni away by the hand. It was later revealed that Alam had arrived in a chicken shop near Taikkatukara railway gate merely two days before the incident, in search of employment opportunities. He was acquainted with another Assamese resident, who offered him accommodation above a chicken shop.

Chandni's father, Ramdhar Tiwari, works as a truss worker in the Aluva area, while her mother is a homemaker. Chandni was the second child among four siblings. The news of Chandni's tragic fate has sparked outrage and grief throughout Kerala.
