Thiruvananthapuram: On a day when Kerala continues to keep its test positivity rate below 11 per cent while recording 7,007 more coronavirus cases, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan on Wednesday donated 20,000 N-95 masks to the southern state.
At present, there are 78,420 active case in Kerala.
State Health Minister KK Shailaja, while thanking Khan, said that 7,252 patients had tested negative during the day, taking total cured patients to 4,22,410 in the state.
In the past 24 hours, 64,192 samples was send for testing. The corona death toll rose to 1,771 as 29 more patients died on Wednesday.
Across the state, 3,15,246 persons are under observation at various places, including 19,034 in hospitals. There are 622 hotspots in the state.
