Anil Panachooran's autopsy report confirms cardiac arrest

Thiruvananthapuram: The autopsy report for Anil Panachooran shows that the poet had died of cardiac arrest on Sunday.

The report thus obviously allays any misgiving regarding the cause of death, stating that there was nothing unnatural in his death.

After autopsy, the beloved poet's body was taken to his home village in Kayamkulam and cremated in the premises of his residence.

Earlier his bereaved family alleged mystery in the death, and requested an autopsy for the exact cause of death.

The 55-year-old poet and lyricist who left behind a string of hit Malayalam movie songs and thoughtful poems died Sunday morning after fainting at his house.

He was quickly taken to hospital, alongside being reportedly tested positive for Covid 19.
