Nadapuram(Calicut): Twenty-two youths, including leaders and members of the Muslim Studetns's Federation (MSF), the students' wing of Muslim League, who protested against the Citizenship Amendment Act last year, have been issued arrest warrants in Nadapuram of Kozhikode hidistrict. The police action comes after, and in spite of the state government 's recent announcement that cases against CAA-NRC protestors and Sabarimala protestors would be withdrawn.

The warrants have been issued against MSF members, including Muhammad Perode, KV Arshad, Muhsin Valapil and Arafath. The police have been raiding the homes of the students in the last two days, MSF leaders alleged.

The student organisation has further accused the state government of misleading the public by hounding students after announcing that cases would be dropped. However, as part of the elections, the attempt to find wanted culprits and people with court warrants is on. Nadapuram police have claimed the warrant to be a part of the search to locate them.
