Thiruvananthapuram: As the transferred officials in the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) took charge at their posts on Saturday, the board the one-month-long standoff between board chairman B Ashok and CPI-M backed KSEB Officers' Association President MG Suresh Kumar came to an, though not certain. Now the conflict has reached the point in favour of Ashok, IANS reported.

After the standoff cooled down on Saturday, Power Minister K Krishnankutty dismissed all the bickerings, saying that such conflict is similar to what happens in a family. His support to chairman Ashok tamed the union leaders cooled the situation down.

Krishnankutty said, "We all have seen at times in families there are differences of opinion, and after a while, things cool down, and the family is back as one."

Putting a brave face, Kumar, who joined at his new posting, said all three of us have decided to join where we have been transferred.

However, after joining the new posting, Kumar said he and his colleagues decided to join, but talks will continue, and they are expecting issues to end.

The CPIM backed KSEB Association's tactics didn't work on Ashok, the president of the Kerala IAS officers Association. Ashok had first suspended a lady engineer and then Kumar and his deputy. Though he reinstated all the three, he transferred them to distant places. Now, all the three have joined distant places, and a new round of talk will be held on May 5 at the presence of minister Krishanankutty.
