Main conspirator in RSS workers murder in Kerala arrested

Palakkad: The main accused in connection with the murder of Pramuk Sanjith, a 27-year-old Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker in Kerala, which took place on November 15, was arrested on Monday.

According to the police, Mohammed Haroon, who was involved in the conspiracy to kill RSS worker S Sanjith, was arrested from Cherpulassery. The police have revealed that Haroon, an SDPI office bearer, is the 10th accused and had a lookout notice against him. Moreover, they also informed that he personally selected the assailants for the murder and assisted them to flee.

As per the Palakkad Police, a total of ten people have been arrested in the case so far, all of them are workers of the Popular Front of India (PFI).

It has also been informed that four accused, including one directly involved in murder, are yet to be arrested.

S Sanjith, an RSS worker, was hacked to death allegedly by the workers of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), the political wing of the PFI, on November 15.

According to the police, the dead was waylaid and attacked when he was travelling with his wife on his motorbike.

The incident took place on Kinassery near Palakkad-Thrissur National Highway. There were a total of 15 wounds on Sanjith's body.
