Kerala's Malappuram native bags Guinness world record for longest time spinning pen around thumb

Vengara: 19-year-old Muhammed Sinan feels so excited to be a world record title holder in spinning pen 108 times around thumb in a minute. Sinan achieved the record by beating the previous record by spinning the pen more than 20 times in a minute.
The former Guinness holder, a Canadian named Alycia Amato had a record of spinning pen 88 times in a minute. The competitive item is titled a pen spinning around the thumb.
"I have been practising spinning the pen from my 12 grade onwards. I was thrilled when I found that I had broken the world record", says the winner. He is also the first record maker in India to spin the pen on his thumb.
The final-year degree student of Malabar College of Advanced Studies, Vengara has been recognized and honoured by the India Book of Records.
The boy credited his parents, Noushad Ali and Lailabi, his uncle Jamsheer Ali and friends for their support and motivation which helped him achieve the feat.
