Palakkad: CPI(M) is left red faced after its local workers in Chittur here used flags modelled on RSS flags for the Vinayaka Chadurthi demonstrations to immerse the idol of lord Ganesh on Sunday.
Images and videos of the event showing CPI (M) workers celebrating at Anchammayil after the fashion of Sangh Parivar went viral on social media, leaving the party defencess.
The incident closely follows the row over the party's organizing the recital of Ramayana and observing Sri Krishna Jayanti.
The flags, embosomed with the image of Lord Ganesh, used for the demonstration looked exactly like RSS fag except for being yellow in lieu of RSS's saffron.
People who showed up to watch the event shared the images of flags on social media which quickly went viral after Sang Parivar workers taking it for their party event.
