Offline classes to resume in Bihar with 50% attendance: CM
cancel

The Bihar government announced the resuming of offline school, college and university classes with 50 per cent attendance on Monday. While announcing the same, CM Nitish Kumar further added that special arrangements shall be made for vaccinating adult students, teachers and staff of educational institutions. Besides schools, colleges and technical educational institutions, government training institutes shall also reopen with 50 per cent attendance.

As the second wave of the pandemic surged, the Bihar government had advanced the summer vacation due for June '21 to May. The government had further notified that state-run schools and universities will not conduct any exams during the period. However, unlike many other states, Bihar conducted class 10 and 12 final exams February-March and announced the results of the same. Several states instead chose to postpone or cancel these examinations.
