Thiruvananthapuram: As Kerala is facing local body elections, the statement of Kerala CM that COVID19 vaccine will be free in the state is a clear breach of model code of conduct, accused BJP state unit president K Surendran on Sunday. He also informed that BJP state unit has given a complaint to the Election Commission on this matter.

On Saturday,Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that Covid vaccine will be provided free in the state.

Saying no one will be asked for payment for Covid Vaccine, Vijayan added that "how much vaccine would be allotted from the centre is the real question before us"

"It is a relief that the number of Covid patients is decreasing day by day. Even though the death rate has increased, Test Postivity Rate(TPR) decreased to below ten in last days'"

"Now a days, Around 30 deaths are reporting every day. We should be always vigilant, The situation will become very bad, if any failure happens from our part', he warned.
