Reports about deaths during workout, especially after the case of Kannada movie star Puneeth Rajkumar, has panicked many gym buffs.

There have been discussions surrounding it after comedian Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack on August 10 while working out in a gym.

Reports on Thursday said a 67-year-old man died while working out at a gym in Vasai town of Maharashtra's Palghar district yesterday.

Pralhad Nikam was doing his regular exercise at the gym around 7.30 pm when he felt giddy and collapsed, they said.

"He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but he was declared dead there," a police official said.

The cause of his death could not be known yet, and his body was sent to a government hospital for post-mortem, he said.

Kannada superstar, Puneeth Rajkumar, was 46 year-old he when died after a massive cardiac arrest.

The actor of films like 'Power' and 'Yuvarathnaa' was known for his chiseled physique and routine workouts.
