WHO reiterates request to China for more info on Covid-19

Beijing: The World Health Organisation (WHO) strongly advised China once again to share detailed and real-time information on Covid-19 from the country. On Friday, it asked Beijing to release more genetic sequencing data as well as data on hospitalisations and casualties, Reuters reported.

The technical advisory group of WHO for the evolution of SARS-COV-2 will hold a meeting on January 3, and the organisation informed that it had invited Chinese scientists to present the data of viral sequencing.

OnThursday that WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus himself informed the need for more information from the current Chinese wave.
