Media One honoured with Dubai Global Village award

Shinoj started his media career as a correspondent for Madhyamam Daily newspaper in 1998. Since then, he worked in Kerala bureau and in the Gulf Madhyamam bureaus of Muscat and Dubai before making his way into Media One in 2013.
By receiving the prestigious award, Media One became the only Indian media in the Season 25 award list. However, it is for the second time that the channel receive the Global Village award for the second time, as MCA Nasser, the channel's UAE bureau chief, received the first Award in 2018.
Afsal Thazhakuni, a Keralite photographer from Al-Ittihad newspaper was selected for the 'Best Photography' award while Shireen Farouq from Al Bayan and Hesham Ahmed Salah Ahmed from Khaleej Times won the 'Best Coverage' award for Arabic and English, respectively.
Global Village's Silver Jubilee, which began last October, is set to make an anniversary finale on Sunday (May 2) at 9 PM.
