Kuwait has decided to revise partial curfew timing from 6 pm until 5 am with restaurants allowed to deliver from 6 pm until 10 pm effective from Tuesday. The Government approved the decision on Monday to change the night curfew timing which is currently in force from 5 pm to 5 am.

Residents are permitted to walk from 6 pm until 8 pm starting today (Tuesday), however, no vehicles are allowed during the curfew time.

Meanwhile, Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had announced its entry ban on foreigners still stands until further notice. Those exempted from the ban - nationals, medical personnel, relatives of Kuwaiti citizens and accompanied domestic workers, diplomats and minors below the age of 18 are directed to spend self-quarantine at a hotel for a week and another week at home.

However, 3 categories of vaccinated travellers would be exempted from mandatory institutional quarantine, announced government spokesman Tariq Al Muzrim. It includes travellers who have received both doses more than two weeks before their entry, individuals administered with one dose of the vaccine more than 5 weeks ago and recovered travellers from the Covid19 who have received one dose more than 2 weeks ago before entry. Al Muzrim added that the passengers permitted entry will be subjected to a home quarantine of 7 days and PCR tests, vaccinated or not.

The country has been imposing several restrictions in a bid to contain the soaring number of corona cases in the country. Kuwait's Ministry of Health said on Monday that 1,439 people have recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, making the total number of recoveries to 204,978.
