Ramallah: The Palestinian government lashed out at the newly formed right wing Israeli government led by Benjamin Netanyahu for its furiously aggressive approach towards Palestinian against which its Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to launch a comprehensive international campaign.

The campaign, which has been instructed to be held under the initiative of all Palestinian embassies around the world, will describe the execution of the new Israeli government’s extremist policies against the Palestinians in days after its ascension to the power.

The Arab News quoted Palestinian Ambassador Ahmed Al-Deek saying that the Israeli sanctions, made in response to a Palestinian appeal for UN help, would not discourage the Palestinian foreign minister from continuing to consolidate the international front rejecting the Israeli occupation.

Al-Deek, who is also a political advisor to Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki, cautioned that the latest sanctions might lead to either the collapse of the PA or a wave of widespread anger among Palestinians.

He said that the Israeli policies amount to pushing the Palestinian government into a further financial crisis and that the country already is struggling to fulfil its financial obligations toward Palestinians in terms of paying salaries and health and educational services in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem.

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh also expressed his concerns over the Israeli government's new policies that confiscated funds belonging to the PA, weakening its capabilities to provide services to more than 5 million Palestinians living in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.

Shtayyeh said Israel is trying to destroy the authority by pushing it to the brink financially and institutionally. Israel cancelled the special permits of senior leaders of the PA and Fatah — including the foreign minister — that facilitate their movement and travel.

Extreme right-wing Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has already threatened about 4,700 Palestinian security prisoners with further restrictions on their detention conditions in Israeli prisons.
