Riyadh: The Saudi Arabia administration denied the authenticity of a draft of punitive measures, allegedly finalised by the Kingdom, circulating on social media. An official of the Ministry of Media stated the same through a statement, Arab News reported.

Saudi had announced earlier about a draft regarding the same, but the latest statement says that the draft is still under legislative review.

Saudi Press Agency quoted the ministry official on Monday, who impressed on the need to ensure the accuracy of information circulated on social media. This is imperative in avoiding the proliferation of rumours and fake and incorrect information through unofficial channels. The official statement urged people to cooperate in nurturing a healthy judicial and legal culture.
