Riyadh: Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Bin Muqrin, the Deputy Emir of Hail Region, inaugurated Hail’s inaugural hiking trail. This trail marks a significant addition to the region's recreational and tourist attractions, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to diversify entertainment options and promote tourism.

The inauguration ceremony took place at Al Samra Park, where Prince Faisal was warmly welcomed by Ali Al-Fayez, the trail's investor and Dr. Abdullah El-Kuwaiz, Chairman of Darb's Board of Directors, among other board members. Excitement filled the air as participants from various parts of the Kingdom gathered, ready to embark on the trail's maiden journey.

The Mount Al Samra trail, organized by the Saudi Hiking Trails Association (Darb), offers adventurers and tourists a gateway to the famous archaeological site of Hatem Al-Tai's historical lighthouse. Perched atop Mount Al Samra in Hail city, at an elevation of 1,170 meters, the trail promises breathtaking views and an immersive experience into the region's cultural heritage.

Over the course of 22 days, Darb meticulously developed safe pathways, ensuring the safety of hikers while offering sweeping views of Hail city, its watercourse and surrounding greenery. As participants ascend to the summit, they are regaled with the tale of the lighthouse, known as "Al-Habahib's Fire," a 6th-century AD story highlighting Hatem Al-Tai's legendary hospitality.

With the establishment of 15 hiking trails across Saudi Arabia, the Mount Al Samra trail stands out as the first in the Hail Region, offering an enriching experience that combines natural beauty with cultural heritage.

As adventurers flock to Mount Al Samra, they embark on a journey that offers breathtaking views and provides insights into the region's rich history and heritage. With this trail, Hail Region opens its doors to visitors, inviting them to experience the beauty and charm of its natural landscapes and cultural treasures.
